First Public Performance-Singing the Life Melodies
None of the children in the
Little Life Warrior Choir have ever had any formal musical
training. But the first public performance was a great success,
winning the applause of the audience.
The Choir draws
its members from child cancer patients at the Lady Pao Children's
Cancer Centre (CCC). It made its debut last August at the
CCC Annual Gathering. They were then invited to perform as
a guest at the Shatin Children's Choir's Annual Music Concert
in February, 2004.
The children of
the Little Life Warrior Choir enjoy performing in public.
Through public performances, the children wish to raise the
community's awareness and concern about childhood cancer and
to inspire other patients by showing their strong determination
in fighting the disease. The audience was deeply touched both
by their sincerity and by the message in their songs that
life is precious.
